This department’s master’s program in Japanese political and economic studies is a dual degree program with the master’s program of the Institute of Social and Cultural Sciences of Okayama University.
In 2015, the Institute of Japanese Political and Economic Studies (the predecessor of the Japanese Political and Economic Studies Master's Program in this department) signed an "Exchange Agreement" with Okayama University in Japan; each year, up to two students can be sent to Okayama University for exchange study abroad for a period of six months to one year. . In 2020, in order to strengthen academic exchanges between the two parties and deepen the friendship between the two universities, the Japanese Political and Economics Master's Program of the Department signed a cooperation agreement on a transnational master's dual degree program with the Institute of Social and Cultural Sciences of Okayama University, Japan, and can send up to 2 students each year Go to Okayama University for second year. After completing the required credits at Okayama University, completing the thesis and passing the oral examination, you will be awarded a master's degree from the school. According to the agreement between the two parties, all students of this department who participate in this program are exempt from paying all tuition and miscellaneous fees at Okayama University, but they must bear their own travel expenses, living expenses, insurance, etc.
Due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2021, online courses will be used instead; in 2022, exchanges will be restarted due to the slowdown of the epidemic. The students who went to Japan all performed outstandingly. In September 2023, Associate Professor Junpei Sato of Okayama University came to visit our department for exchanges. In addition to expressing his affirmation of the exchange students, he further developed the content of future agreements.
