    Professor Anna prepared PPT presentation in cooperation with her friend, and professional therapist, as well as prof. Weronika Jakubczak. However, prof. Jakubczak, due to work commitments, could not come to the activity and the presentation was made only by prof. Anna. Students were listening and enjoying dinner.

    The goal of the activity was to

    1. introduce students to the various domains of health:We were speaking about the following domains and their connection to health: mind, body, spirit, relations and environment.
    2. explain strategies used in each of those domains to improve health: we analysed which strategies fit each domain, discussed their meaning and effects. We talked about such strategies as self-reflection, journaling, gratitude journaling, prayer, meditation, mindfulness exercises, relaxation techniques, diet, sleep, sport, hydration, body scanning, altruism, volunteering etc.
    3. provide the detailed explanation selected relaxation techniques, which can improve students’ well-being in selected domains. The selected relaxation techniques: forest bathing, box breathing, body scanning. We practiced box breathing and body scanning.
    4. explain benefits of the selected relaxation techniques

    We started from the 9-minute video explaining to the students that they will face various situations in life, some of them very difficult, others sad and even depressing. However, we cannot choose what life brings for us, but we can choose how we respond to it. The relaxation techniques help us improve our responses.
