Description:
A. This notice is issued in accordance with the Taipei Mission in Taipei’s Directive No. 1150000042 dated April 17 and the Ministry of Education’s Directive No. 1152501672 dated May 12, 2026.
B. For this academic year, seven universities have been selected to host Taiwanese students for Korean language study programs. Please refer to the attached documents for the list of universities and scholarship benefits, and more details.
C. Scholarship Information:
1. Quota: 7 admitted candidates and 4 candidates on the waiting list are expected.
2. Period: 6 months (from September 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027).
3. Eligibility:
i. Applicants must hold Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality.
ii. Applicants must have obtained a score of at least 80 in Korean language courses in any semester and/or passed TOPIK Level 2 or above.
iii. Applicants must be available to study abroad during the scholarship period.
iv. Applicants must be current undergraduate students or graduating students of Taiwanese universities who have never previously received this scholarship. Graduating students are not eligible to apply for Jeonbuk National University. In addition, students who have already graduated are not eligible to apply.
v. Applicants must be recommended by their current university.
4. Recommendation Quota per University: 1 student.
D. Interested applicants are requested to prepare all required application documents (Hard copy and E-flies) and submit them to our office (T1006) by 10:00 AM on May 21 (Thursday), 2026, for compilation and nomination to the Ministry of Education. If the number of applicants exceeds the recommendation quota, our office will conduct a selection process.
E. After compiling the recommendation lists submitted by universities, the Ministry of Education will separately notify qualified applicants to attend an interview in early June 2026.
