Description:
A. This notice is issued in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s Directive No. 1152501412 dated May 11, 2026, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Directive No. 1150022083.
B. The Government of Belize will continue the “Certificate in English as a Second Language (CESL)” Scholarship Program in 2027, offering eight scholarship opportunities for Taiwanese students to study English courses at the Regional Language Center of the University of Belize. The program is scheduled to commence in January 2027 and conclude in October 2027. In addition to a waiver of tuition and miscellaneous fees, each scholarship recipient will receive a monthly living allowance of BZD 600 (approximately USD 300) for a duration of 10 months.
C. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, hold valid Republic of China (Taiwan) nationality, and possess a high school diploma or higher academic qualification. Interested applicants are required to complete the application form and prepare all supporting documents, and submit their applications via email to admissions@ub.edu.bz and rlcinfo@ub.edu.bz by July 31, 2026.
