I. This notice is issued in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s Directive No. 1152301432 dated May 12, 2026.
II. Summary of the scholarship. For detailed information, please refer to the attached Guidelines:
A. Eligibility:
1.Applicants must be nationals of the Republic of China (Taiwan) with household registration in Taiwan.
2.Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications:
a. Current undergraduate, master's, or doctoral students enrolled at accredited public or private higher education institutions in Taiwan, or postdoctoral researchers. Applicants pursuing studies in the scholarship-designated fields must provide a certificate of enrollment issued by their institution, indicating the date of enrollment, degree program, and field of study.
b. Students from low-income or lower-middle-income households, students with disabilities, children of persons with disabilities, children or grandchildren from families in special circumstances, Indigenous students, and other students eligible for tuition and fee waivers under Ministry of Education regulations, as well as students receiving assistance under the Ministry's Financial Aid Program for Disadvantaged Students (excluding students on leave of absence and those enrolled in in-service programs), are eligible to apply. In the event of identical evaluation scores, priority may be given to applicants from these categories.
B. Application Procedure and Required Documents:
1.Interested applicants are required to submit both hard copies and electronic copies of the application documents to the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs (Room T1006) by 5:00 p.m., June 22, 2026 (Monday). The Office will review and consolidate the applications before forwarding nominations to the Ministry of Education. Required documents include:
a. Proof of admission, exchange, or study approval issued by the Austrian host institution.
b. Proof of foreign language proficiency.
c. A study or exchange proposal, including the research/study topic, content and structure, methodology, analysis of issues, and expected outcomes.
d. Complete academic transcripts from university level and above, along with supporting documents demonstrating outstanding achievements, such as awards, honors, commendations, and other relevant accomplishments.
